Fuzzy Lop Nationals Utah

Hi Folks, wanted to say a little about our wonderful Fuzzy Lop Nationals. We went to them last weekend 04/04-05/09, 12 hour drive to Utah, but well worth the drive. Also, the drive was so beautiful. Anyway, it was my first Nationals, and so exciting and fun! So many beautiful rabbits and wonderful new friends. My rabbits really did better than I expected, thank you rabbits so much for showing so well and traveling so far! Love you fluffy guys! Thank you to everyone at the show who did so much and were so wonderful. Thank you Joey Shultz for judging and being so kind and informative! Will post a couple of pictures of my trip! Thanks everyone!!!
PS This is me in Utah on our way to Salt Lake City! We had snow on and off on the whole trip out. It was very beautiful! The rabbit is Pixie CT1 my senior doe that won a 4th in Nationals!

some photos

this is one of Tenleys babies. They are bigger now, and have nice coats. The larger rabbit is PFF's Julia/FB4, a beautiful rabbit I got from Christina Gillette. She is doing well on the table!

yearly update?!

Have been looking over my blogs today and am finding there's a big gap in writing. Hmmmm Have been doing a lot with the rabbits this year, which isn"t reflected in my posts. Have gone to two or three rabbit shows a month this year, and it has been so much fun. My rabbits have done well, relatively, since I am a new person to shows. Have also made new friends and learned a lot about rabbits this year. Hope to continue on in 2009. Will post some pictures soon and also write more. Check out these blogs for more rabbit info www.ncag.blogspot.com and also the aflrc.blogspot.com. Happy Holidays to all, marianand a

about Tibet and politics

Have spent a lot of time lately looking up info and articles/news about Tibet. Having been in a Tibetan monastery in Nepal for while, and studying Tibetan Buddhism for awhile, I really have a feeling about what is going on in Tibet. I have been happy to see that Nancy Pelosi has a history of supporting Tibetan human rights and protested the Olympics going there. The fact that the Olympic committee is being so ho-hum about the unrest and abuses by the Chinese is a little shocking. I have also looked in to the UN Human Rights ccommittee and they don't seem to have done much in Tibet recently or have any plans to do so. Why is the Chinese activity in Tibet so overlooked by the rest of the world? Are govts. afraid of the Chinese? Please write to Nancy Pelosi and thank her for her activity. She even visited the Dalai Lama this March. She is very supportive of him. I am planning to do vigils next week when the torch comes through here. Blessings to all, pinkie

searching on the web

Have been physically travelling the last few weeks in my car with my dogs and this last weekend I included one of my guinea pigs that wasn't walking well or eating well. She seems to be better now even tho she got carried around in a dog carrier all weekend. Couldn't leave her in the car with the dogs. They would have gotten her in a minute if I left her. We went up to the mountains for the weekend and walked in the cooler areas. Have been dreaming about an old friend of mine recently so thought I would look him up on the internet. The first hit I got was a copy of a mortgage agreement he obtained recently. That was a little troubling on a few levels. He lives in AK so I guess they don't have much to publish. Then I looked up another friend who is a dog musher in AK and all his info was about dog races he was in. Plan to look up myself after this. Have done it before with varying results. One time I looked and my accurate birthday was the first entry. I love the internet but there are some glitches in the info exchange.
All my animals are doing well and seem to be happy. My doves are reproducing themselves and the babies are beautiful. One is a slivery brown. The others are looking like they might be white. The father dove does alot of the work, sitting on the nest and feeding the babies alot when they have hatched. It's really inspiring to see the birds have their babies and watch them grow up. I'm feeding my guinea pigs organic greens and carrots from Trader Joes and Whole foods. They love them and eat a lot.
My Pinkiestore is doing well. Have made some sales and am getting ready to change the merchandise a bit. Hope you will check it out on the web. I know there are many things to be doing at this time. Last year I went to the marches for immigrants on May day. This year it is differant, although I still feel the same about immigration. People have to survive and feed their children. I feel at my job immigrants seem to be getting less prenatal care, possibly being afraid to have their name in the system. The raids on work places have really frightened people alot. Our hospital has a philosophy of treating everyone, and people can get care whether they have papers or not.
Anyway, hope everyone is well and that we keep setting our sites higher, pinkie
