California Christmas

Happy Holidays all! just got done feeding all the birds, dogs and various critters. Have hopes for the New Year of moving up to the Clear Lake house and spending more time. Today I called people, and will eat a little food that my roomates cooked and then off to work at the hospital. Am working in the nursery today so I'll see who was born today. I guess this is a fun time to be born, although it's a little cold this time of year. Am raising some chicks right now and I've definetly spent some money on lights and containers to keep them warm. Also, the dogs have really taken a liking to breaking out of the yard in to the other yard where the other dogs and grown chickens are living. Thankfully, my roomate has been putting them back and repairing fences. Well, hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a Joyous New Year! The light is on its way back now.

rain, etc

hmm, thought it would be fun to have a blog since i was enjoying other peoples blogs so much. not sure i have so much to say about things, but anyway here it is. Right now just seem to be going from one thing to another and in the mean time its raining and i have alot of animals that i have to make sure they are dry enough and eating ok. in fact i have to go out right now and check on them will be right back..............ok, everyone is ok for now. i have 4 chickens, 6 parakeets, 2 cockatiels, 4 huskies and a tiny chi yorkie mix. they don't always get along at all, so have to have some good fences. the chickens are laying eggs right now so we're getting eggs galore. the chickens don't seem to be bothered by the rain. They just seem to keep walking around eating and looking at things. Had some of the dogs pictures taken yest. at petsmart with santa. will have some more pictures taken today with other dogs. It benefits the dog club i belong to and also the petsmart charities. People are so interesting when they come in and their animals are so cute!. Yest. a man had a picture taken with his fish he just bought and two people brought their full sized horses down to have their pictures taken with Santa. No, they didn't come in, Santa came out to the storefront sidewalk with them. Really cute! Last year people brought in guinea pigs to have their picture with Santa.
Anyway, thats the story for today.
